Flower of red clover, Trifolium pratense.
Flower of red clover, Trifolium pratense, along the the Columbine Canyon trail in the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico. This clover is found in about 2/3 of New Mexico and was a hit with several insects. The photo was taken on 15 July 2004.
